Locally Rooted. Environmentally Driven.

We’re on a mission to protect Kent’s rivers and unlock sustainable development through effective, compliant nutrient mitigation.

Kent Mitigation was founded in 2021 in Canterbury to help solve the growing challenge of nutrient neutrality in planning. With deep local knowledge and expertise in both ecology and development, we deliver nature-based and engineered solutions that meet the needs of developers, homeowners, and councils.

We’re more than a credit provider, we manage the entire process, from scheme concept to delivery and reporting, ensuring compliance with the strictest environmental standards.

A Trusted Partner in Nutrient Neutrality

Sustainable Housing. Restored Habitats. Cleaner Rivers.

We believe that environmental protection and housing delivery should work together, not against each other. Our work helps reduce nutrient pollution, restore natural ecosystems, and unlock vital homes across Kent.

Our Approach:

✔️ Local delivery with national backing

✔️ Fully approved by Natural England

✔️ Operate and manage our own schemes

✔️ Compliant with Habitats Regulations and LPAs

✔️ Focused on long-term ecological gains

From Nature-based to Engineering

We develop and operate a range of mitigation schemes to support nutrient neutrality:

Nature-Based: Landscape enhancements, wetlands, rewilding and habitat creation

Mechanical: Engineered treatment systems that strip nutrients before discharge

Hybrid: A combination of nature-based and technical approaches for maximum impact

All schemes are monitored and verified to ensure long-term effectiveness.
